NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. — An Amesbury company offered to install a pool for free after a family was robbed of a payment for a special pool for their son with disabilities.
Jeff Trifone was hired by the Marston family to build a pool for their son, Zack. He is 14 years old and has cerebral palsy, and water therapy is the best thing to help relax his tense muscles.
“He's in a wheelchair most of the time so his leg muscles are very, very contracted. In the water he doesn't feel that contraction,” said Brooke Marston.
Trifone took the money but never came back to build the pool.
Precision Pool offered to build a pool in the Marston’s backyard for free after FOX25 reported on the family’s story.

“So we were disgusted. Disgusted. Embarrassed for the company. Angry that this family had to go through that,” said Pam Canning of Precision Pool, a family-owned business.
But Precision Pool wants to make it clear that this story is not about them.
“It's about Zachary. That 14-year-old boy who's without the pool. And they're without their money,” said Canning.
Pam Canning's husband and son laid concrete in the Marston’s backyard Sunday.
FOX25 learned Trifone is hardly a stranger to the legal system. In Dudley District Court, nearly 30 filings contained his name.
Those filings contained allegations of passing bad checks, creating fake classifieds online and engaging in charity fraud.
The Marstons said Trifone has been harassing them since the story aired on FOX25.
“Calls at 4 o’clock in the morning...2 o’clock in the morning…texts,” said Marston.
For now, the Marstons place their focus on the new pool and the decency and kindness of strangers.
“There's a lot in the world that we cannot do anything about. This we can,” said Canning. “It's just straight from the heart. It's what we want to do. For sure.”
