Award-winning journalist Nicole Oliverio co-anchors Boston 25 Weekend News at 6:00, 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. with Chris Flanagan. She also reports for Boston 25 Morning News during the week. Nicole joined the Boston 25 News team in 2019. A veteran reporter/anchor in the Boston market, Nicole has covered almost every major news event in Boston during her career. She finds it most rewarding to cover breaking news and report on issue-oriented stories that expose problems and help affect change. Nicole came to WFXT from WHDH- TV, where she was a reporter and anchor for eleven years. Returning to Boston 25 News is a bit of a homecoming for Nicole. She served as an intern in the newsroom while studying at Boston College. Earlier in her career Nicole was a reporter and anchor at WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida, WCAX-TV in Burlington, Vermont and WMDN in Meridian, Mississippi. Nicole has received Boston/New England Emmy Awards and recognition from the Associated Press for her reporting in the categories of General News, Continuing Coverage, General Assignment Reporter and Best Feature. She grew up in Braintree and is a graduate of Boston College. Nicole is a mom to two wonderful kids and still lives in the South Shore. Massachusetts residents would still be protected by the ROE Act, which allows abortions after 24 weeks in cases where the fetus wouldn’t survive after birth and when deemed necessary by a physician to preserve the patient’s health. The law also lowers the age of abortion without consent from a parent or judge from 18 to 16-years old.
