Josh McDaniels reportedly expected to interview for Packers head coaching job

After a rollercoaster of an offseason in 2018, it looks like Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is ready to sail out into a sea of head coaching openings once more.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, McDaniels is expected to interview for the open head coaching spot with the Green Bay Packers on Friday.

The team is also reportedly hoping to interview Brian Flores, who took over defensive coordinator responsibilities from Matt Patricia after Patricia left to become the head coach of the Detroit Lions.

The news may come as a surprise for some, after McDaniels accepted and then turned down an offer to become the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts last March.

Any interviews will come as the Patriots continue their push for more games in the 2018, with their next matchup scheduled for Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. as they look to advance past the divisional round of the playoffs.
