ONTARIO (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Former Boston Bruin Steve Montador was found dead at his Ontario home early Sunday. He was 35.
Police said they found him unresponsive after receiving a 911 call around 2 a.m. Police said there were no signs of any crime, adding it appeared he died of natural causes.
The Bruins posted on Twitter: "Sad to hear of the passing of former Bruin Steve Montador. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones."
Montador last played in Russia's hockey league in 2014, but was forced off the ice due to a concussion. He had previously suffered a concussion in 2012 while playing with the Chicago Blackhawks, according to reports.
