Waltham, Mass -- Celtics guard Marcus Smart held his inaugural basketball camp at Brandeis University in Waltham. Over 70 kids ranging from ages 8-16 got an opportunity to hang with Smart, who was upbeat despite trade rumors.
Smart took time to talk with kids and even play a little one-on-one with a few of the lucky attendees.
"You see yourself in these kids because at one point in time that was you." Smart said when asked why he enjoys giving back.
Smart also opened up about his mother, Camellia Smart, who underwent a quadruple bypass surgery recently. Smart says she's fine and is recovering.
