Red Sox nearly fall out of nest before beating Orioles 8-6

BALTIMORE — It looked like the Red Sox would cruise to an easy win. They were up 8-1 in the 9th inning and that’s when the Orioles decided to stage a late inning comeback.

Led By Cedric Mullins’ grand slam, Baltimore cut the lead to 8-6 before Kenley Jansen could shut the door.

Jarren Duran led the way for the Sox going 3-for-4 with a grand slam—the first of his career.

Corey Kluber started for Boston, picking up the win. It was the pitcher’s first win of the season after starting out 0-4.

The two teams wrap up their series this afternoon at 1:05p in Camden Yards.
