BOSTON — Celtics forward Daniel Theis reportedly tore his meniscus in the Celtics loss to Indiana Sunday night and needs season-ending surgery to repair the damage.
Theis has played in 63 games this year, averaging five points and four rebounds in almost 15 minutes a game.
Injuries have been an issue with the Celtics as they continue to mount. Kyrie Irving is expected to miss some time with knee soreness. Jaylen Brown is slowly recovering from his scary fall in Minnesota last Thursday. Al Horford missed Sunday's game with an illness and Marcus Smart injured his thumb in Sunday's loss.
