BRAINTREE — The Braintree Wamps Girls Basketball team was playing their first game in over a week and they were rusty.
And at the beginning the visiting Wellesley Raiders took advantage of that rust to jump out to a six point lead.
But Braintree kept hustling and grinding and in the end they pull out a 55-47 win to go to 3-1 on the season. Wellesley falls to 5-2
Braintree was led by Tri Captain Jenna Roche. Roche had 15 points and added five rebounds and four assists and she was huge in the 4th qtr.
Braintree got 6 points and 15 rebounds from senior captain Rachel Tutkus and Jeniya Jones chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
