CHESTNUT HILL — Boston College's scheduled game against Wake Forest has been affected by the approaching hurricane expected to hit North Carolina.

Hurricane Florence is in line to reach the coast of the Carolinas at 8am Thursday. BC and Wake Forest were originally scheduled to kick off at 7:30 Thursday night, September 13 in Winston-Salem.

Kickoff of the game has been moved to 5:30pm and is still subject to change based on future weather forecasts.

BC head coach Steve Addazio was asked during his weekly news conference if he's been told of any possible alternative plans.

"I think all these things are in discussion at this point," said Addazio. "I'm not privy to exactly the details, In my mind, I'm going to play a game on Thursday night and I'm prepared for anything that may come our way.

"I've not been down this path in the ACC, and I'm quite confident that (athletic director) Martin Jarmond will be in contact with the conference office and the Wake Forest Athletic Administration. I don't have the time to pop up to listen because it doesn't really at this point -- I'm not sure that, you know, what I say is going to matter. I really -- if I don't have complete focus -- you miss a day so to speak or your practice isn't right, you're done. There is no make-up on that now. So I've been pretty locked into it."
