WATCH: Sgt. Gannon, Sgt. Chesna remembered at U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump will speak to gathered police officers from across the nation Wednesday in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

It's part of National Police Week ceremonies taking place all over Washington, D.C. as the nation honors fallen police officers.

Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon and Weymouth Police Sgt. Michael Chesna will be added to the U.S. Peace Officers Memorial at the ceremony in Washington D.C. Wednesday.

38th Annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service
Sponsored by the Grand Lodge Fraternal Order of Police and the Grand Lodge Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary. The Memorial Service will be held on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The Service begins at 11:00 a.m. and is expected to run approximately 2 hours.
