Wareham restaurant offers $5K reward for arrest and conviction of robbers

WAREHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Wareham restaurant is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the thieves who stole a significant amount of money from the eatery.

Just after 10 p.m. last Sunday, two men wearing masks and all black clothing approached the manager of Lindsey's Restaurant, who was doing paperwork in the office. They allegedly threw her across the room, pushed her into a desk, threatened her and told her not to move. The men stole cash from the safe as well as all the video surveillance equipment.

A bartender was also in the building and had left the office moments before. She heard noise and called the office from the second floor. The manager let her know what was happening and she ran outside and called police.

Police and K-9 officers searched the area, but did not find them. The family restaurant owners are now offering a reward for the arrest and conviction of the robbers, which they say is necessary only so their employees can feel safe again.

Anyone with information is asked to call Wareham police detectives at 508-295-1206. The investigation into the robbery remains ongoing.
