• Utility pickup truck fatally strikes construction worker

    CONCORD, Mass. - A man is dead after being hit and killed by a pickup truck in Concord on Monday afternoon.

    According to Concord Police, a call came in at around 12:20 p.m. for reports of an adult male pedestrian who had been hit by a utility pickup truck at the intersection of Independence Road and Alcott Road in Concord.

    Preliminary investigation shows the man had been working on the side of the road when the pickup truck backed up, running him over. 

    At the scene, Boston 25 News cameras caught pictures and video of an Xfinity truck being towed away.

    The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released pending notification of the family.

    The driver remained on scene.

    The Middlesex DA's office along with State Police and Concord Police are actively investigating this incident. 

    No charges have been filed yet.
