SALEM, NH — Two people were charged and another was arrested in New Hampshire following an incident involving alleged pipe bombs, according to a release from Salem Police.
On Mar. 12, Salem Police found what were believed to be pipe bombs during a traffic stop for an expired motor vehicle registration on Pelham Road. Police were unsure if the bombs were live, and the New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad was called to the scene. After removing the caps, they discovered there was no explosive powder inside. No charges were made in association with those items.
However, two people from Manchester -- 35-year-old Diana Espaillat and 29-year-old Brandi Hamm -- faced a host of other charges, including possession of methamphetamine and heroin. The third occupant, 28-year-old Robert Matteson, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Manchester District Court. He was held at Rockingham County Jail on $200 bail.
