WASHINGTON — In a ceremony at the White House honoring Native American veterans Monday, President Donald Trump referred to Sen. Elizabeth Warren as 'Pocahontas.'

While honoring the 'Navajo Code Talkers,' who served as couriers in the U.S. Army during World War II, Trump referenced the senator from Massachusetts for no apparent reason.
Trump, among other politicians, has referred to Warren as Pocahontas regularly since the Democrat claimed to have Native American heritage.
“Look, Donald Trump does this over and over thinking somehow he’s going to shut me up with it. It hasn’t worked in the past, it is not going to work in the future," Warren said.
People immediately began criticizing the President on social media over his reference to a dicey topic during a solemn occasion.
