ST. GEORGE, Utah — A Utah man is behind bars after police said he filmed himself sexually abusing a child.
According to KUTV, authorities arrested Juandedios Flores, 24, of St. George, on charges of child sodomy and child sexual exploitation Sunday in connection with the incident, which involved an 8-year-old girl. He also faces two counts of failure to stop for an officer, according to Washington County booking records.
St. George police said Flores' fiancée called authorities after she discovered a cellphone photo and video of him sexually assaulting the girl, KUTV reported. The woman, who demanded that Flores leave their home, told officers that he admitted to the sexual assault, according to the news outlet.
After Flores fled on foot, authorities captured him and took him into custody, where he first denied then admitted to assaulting the child while he was intoxicated, KUTV reported.
