BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A man with a hatchet allegedly broke into a home in California and attacked a woman in the shower, officials say.
Kyler Kuehl, 59, allegedly broke into a home in Bakersfield, California on Friday afternoon, and attacked a woman who was in the shower, according to KGET. Kuehl was apparently armed with a hatchet.
Bakersfield Police Department told KGET in a news release that a man related to the woman who was attacked, came to the home and was able to detain Kuehl until officers arrived.
According to KERO, the woman was injured but is expected to recover.
Kuehl has been booked on recommended charges of attempted rape during a burglary, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and burglary, according to KERO.
KGET said Kuehl is being held on a $560,000 bond.
