LONDON — Happy birthday, Prince William!
According to PA Media, the Duke of Cambridge, who is second in line to the British throne and the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, rang in his 39th birthday Monday.
Other members of the royal family took to social media to send well-wishes to the future king. The queen’s official Twitter account was the first to acknowledge the occasion, sharing four photos of William, including one with wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and another of the couple with their children, Prince George, 7; Princess Charlotte, 6; and Prince Louis, 3.

Prince Charles and wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, followed with two pictures of their own, including a black-and-white throwback photo of Charles holding baby William on his lap.

William thanked his family and friends for the birthday messages in a tweet from the account he shares with Kate.
