The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has confirmed the remains of a child found in Demopolis, Alabama, were those of Taylor Williams, a 5-year-old girl who went missing from Jacksonville earlier this month.
The girl's remains were found on Nov. 12 as officials searched for her. Forensic tests confirmed that Taylor had been found.

She had been last seen around midnight Nov. 6 at her home in the Brentwood area of Jacksonville.
Her mother, Brianna Williams, was charged with giving false information to law enforcement and child neglect.

With her remains being positively identified, the Amber Alert that had been issued for her has been canceled.
