Award-winning chef Michel Richard has died, according to a report from WRC-TV. He was 68.
Born in France, Richard learned to cook as a child. He moved to the U.S. after serving in the French Army and working in the restaurant industry. He opened Citrus in Los Angeles in 1986. Richard opened several restaurants in major U.S. cities during his career. He was particularly beloved in the nation's capital.
