ORLANDO, Fla. — On June 12, 2016 a gunman, identified by police as an American man named Omar Mateen, 29, opened fire at Pulse nightclub in Orlando Florida.
The rampage killed at least 49 people and injured 53.
Mateen was shot and killed by Orlando police following a standoff.
