WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — All lanes of I-495 in Westborough have reopened after MassDOT was forced to close it for utility work.
MassDOT announced Friday afternoon that it would be closing down all lanes in order to remove a utility wire.
Mass. State Police tweeted back to a frustrated commuter saying, "unfortunately this situation requires an immediate repair according to Verizon and National Grid."
The road was shut down at approximately 4:30 p.m. and reopened just before 5:20 p.m.
