Third suspect in Gronk home burglary arrested

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The third and final suspect wanted in connection with the burglary at Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski's house has been arrested.

Foxborough Police Chief William Baker tells Boston 25 News that Shane Denn has been arrested in Maine. Baker says Denn is currently under investigation by Maine authorities and Massachusetts prosecutors will work to extradite him to face charges in Mass.

“This young man has been doing a lot of damage around New England so we think it’s great he’s in custody,” Baker said.

Officials at the Franklin County Detention Center in Maine say Denn is at their facility and is being charged as a fugitive from justice, operating without a license and giving a false name and date of birth.

“It appears he’s under investigation for some criminal acts in Maine so those will be investigated then we will all be making our effort to have him extradited and back to Massachusetts to answer for his crimes here,” Baker said.

Police say Shane Denn, Eric Tyrrell and Anthony Almeida broke into Gronk's house while the Patriots were in Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII.

Almeida and Tyrrell were both arrested in March.
