The Satanic Temple to open international headquarters in Salem

SALEM, Mass. — The Satanic Temple will be opening its international headquarters in Salem this fall at the Salem Art Gallery on Bridge Street.

The group came under fire this summer when they offered a tongue-in-cheek after school program promoting the separation of church and state in public education.

"We're not the boogeymen, we are here to help, here to discuss and help learn," Travis LeSaffre, the founder of the Boston chapter of the Satanic Temple, told FOX25.

The headquarters will also feature a permanent exhibition dedicated to witch hunts past and present, and a media room for film screenings and other events.

The Satanic Temple international headquarters will open to the public Sept. 23.
