BOSTON — New details have been learned about a Massachusetts State Police trooper who was placed on administrative leave last month.
The Boston herald is reporting the trooper’s ex-fiancé was a major pot dealer sentenced to a decade in prison.
In 2007, Leigha Genduso testified against her ex in exchange for immunity from criminal charges.
She admitted to drug use, drug abuse and money laundering.
Her ex was convicted of multiple charges tied to drug running.
Despite her testimony, Genduso was still hired as a state trooper.
Defense attorneys said Genduso’s past involvement could lead to drug convictions being tossed, depending on her involvement in those cases.
Internal Affairs is investigating.
