SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Southborough Police detained seventeen teenagers Sunday evening while responding to a report of a loud party.

Officers said they saw ten to fifteen teenagers running and getting into cars when they showed up to the Parkerville Road address around 11 p.m.

The officers then met with the teenage resident in charge of the home. They said they noticed numerous signs of alcohol and marijuana use inside the home.

The officers detained seventeen teenagers between the ages of fifteen and seventeen until their parents or guardians picked them up. Most of the teens were from Southborough and Northborough, however one was from Sutton and another was from Waltham.

Police notified school leaders.

A copy of the police report was forwarded to the Westboro Court Juvenile Section. A magistrate will hold a hearing to determine whether the teen in charge of the home will be charged with being a person under the age of 21 in possession of liquor and furnishing liquor to a person under 21.
