MALDEN, Mass. — A source tells FOX25 police are investigating a homicide at 500 Broadway in Malden.
Police tell FOX25 they responded to the Cliffside Commons appartment complex Monday night around 9 p.m. for a well-being check on a resident.
When they arrived they found the woman's body inside the apartment and her car missing from the complex.
"The reaction is just overwhelming that this happened in our area,” Eddie Colemeta, a neighbor, said.
Police said they do not believe this is a random act, and say there is no general safety concern for the public.
FOX25 has learned that police have not yet contacted the woman's family and are therefore not releasing her identity.
