A New Hampshire man reported missing this week was found dead in Haverhill, according to Massachusetts State Police.
A silver alert was issued for Gerard Lemay, 89, of Weare, NH this week. Police said he suffered from Alzheimer’s and dementia.
He was last seen at his home on Tuesday at approximately 5:00 a.m.
Mass. State Police said Friday morning Lemay’s car was found in Haverhill. The car was in the parking lot of Covanta Haverhill, an incineration plant on Recovery Way.
Police later said they found Lemay’s body near his car.
According to police, the death is not being considered suspicious. The Essex District Attorney’s Office is still investigating.

He was prevoiusly possibly seen on Route 25 in Plymouth, New Hampshire on Wednesday around 3 p.m. and in Methuen, Mass. between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Lemay was driving a yellow 2008 Hyundai Accent with New Hampshire plate 2647932. That was the car found in Haverhill.
