(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – One of the state's top parole violators is back behind bars.
Scott Phaneuf is a lifetime sex offender and must wear a GPS bracelet at all times. But on June 5, the state's parole board claims the Salisbury resident removed his bracelet and turned off his cell phone.
Police were able to track him down to New London, N.H., after Phaneuf turned on his cell phone long enough for it to be traced.
Phaneuf is currently being held at Merrimack County jail until he can be sent back to Massachusetts.
