A serious crash involving two cars early Monday has closed part of Columbia Road in Dorchester in both directions.

At least two vehicles were involved in the crash near 475 Columbia Rd., at around 3:44 a.m., with firefighters quickly extinguishing flames from one of the vehicles. The other vehicle appeared to have heavy front-end damage.
It's not clear how many people were in the vehicles, but according to Boston Police three people suffered non-life threatening injuries.
