Second suspect in Peabody double murder 'armed and dangerous,' DA says

PEABODY, Mass. — The second suspect wanted in connection to a gruesome double murder in Peabody has been identified and police are seeking the public's help in locating him.

Wes Doughty, 39, is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, according to a release from the Essex County District Attorney's office.

Police spent several hours at a home where he was reportedly spotted Tuesday, but told reporters they found nothing to support the reports.

A couple was found dead in a "messy" crime scene on Farm Avenue in Peabody Sunday and one suspect has already been arrested in connection to it.

The first suspect, Michael Hebb, 45, of Peabody, was taken into custody in connection to the killings shortly after noon Monday.

He has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and has been held without bail.

The bodies of Mark Greenlaw, 37 and Jennifer O’Connor, 39, were found in the basement of a Farm Avenue home late Saturday night after a woman ran from the home screaming and flagged down a passing motorist for help.
