He stopped because of what happened and jumped into action.

"I heard two kids crying and that's when I just did what I did. Me and three other kids broke windows, started trying to rip open doors," he told Boston 25 News.

Those two children who were seriously injured are bother under 12 years old according to police.

"I'm still crying. I'm trying not to choke up now. I just think about what if it was my two little girls, what would I do?" he said. "I'm glad I jumped out, I'm not no hero, I'm just a father who loves kids, who loves people."

Police said that stretch of Route 28, locally called Randolph Avenue, is the fastest road in Milton. People who live nearby and drive down the road daily agree.

"They just see a straightaway and assume it's a highway speed and they just go faster than normal," Andrew Johnson, an area resident, said.
