PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Rhode Island man whose comments on women wearing yoga pants sparked a parade outside his house isn't backing down.

Alan Sorrentino sent a letter to the Barrington Times arguing yoga pants belong in the yoga studio and women over the age of 20 shouldn't wear them in public.

Opposition to his letter was swift and fierce, and sparked a parade of women wearing yoga pants outside him home.

Sorrentino told the Providence Journal his letter was meant to be somewhat funny, satirical and an excercise in free speech. He says the point was missed by the people making threats and personal attacks against him.

He says he has another yoga pants letter he's trying to get published.
