Red Sox pitcher Joe Kelly and his wife welcome son

One Red Sox pitcher wasn’t there Friday when his teammates reported to camp.

But Joe Kelly has a pretty adorable excuse.

The pitcher and his wife welcomed a son named Knox Joseph Kelly into the world!

His proud dad says the little guy and his mom are both doing very well.

Kelly is expected to join his teammates in Fort Myers next week.
