PARSIPPANY, NJ (MyFoxBoston.com) -- About 1.5 million bottles of the congestion and cold medicine Mucinex have being recalled.
The company issued the recall on certain lots of liquid bottles of Mucinex Fast-Max Night Time Cold & Flu, Mucinex Fast-Max Cold & Sinus, Mucines Fact-Max Severe Congestion & Cough and Mucinex Fast-Max Cold, Flue & Sore Throat.
The labels on the recalled bottles may not have the correct active ingredients. Ingredients that may be in the medicine but not listed on the bottle include Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin, Phenylephrine and Diphenhydramine.
Some of the ingredients may be harmful to people with liver problems and when mixed with alcohol.
The company says less than one-percent of the bottles they've recovered so far have incorrect labels.
