Ranger injured when ATV tips over at Crane Beach

IPSWICH, Mass. — A ranger at Crane Beach was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after his ATV flipped over in the sand dunes.

Peter Pinciaro, General Manager of the Crane Estate, told Boston 25 News the ranger was on red trail around 2:30 p.m. while conducting regular duties when his ATV tipped over and he was thrown to the ground.

According to Pinciaro, the ranger suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Pinciaro said the ranger was in good spirits as he was being put into the ambulance. He was taken to Beverly Hospital for treatment.

An update on the ranger's condition wasn’t immediately available.
