MIDDLETON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The two men who were killed in a single-car crash in Middleton on Sunday have been identified, and one was the president of the car dealership group Pride Motor Group.
Michael Iovanna, 50, of Middleton was the driver of the Ferrari that crashed, hitting a tree and bursting into flames. Iovanna was head of the dealership group based in Lynn. His passenger, 40-year-old Chester Hincman, of Danvers, also died in the crash.
Police say the men were likely speeding when the sports car went out of control on the winding country road at about 6 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters say the car was fully engulfed by the time they arrived.
There were no witnesses but homeowners in the area describe hearing a screech of tires and the impact, and seeing flames shoot 30 feet in the air.
The crash remains under investigation.
