Police searching for suspect vehicle after break-ins across 4 towns

LAKEVILLE, Mass. — Police in Lakeville are asking for help identifying a vehicle in connection with a breaking and entering incident.

Lakeville Police say at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, a home was broken into on Rhode Island Road. The homeowner tells Boston 25 News two men kicked in a back door while he was out. He says the thieves took two pillowcases off his bed and filled them with irreplaceable jewelry, including an extensive watch collection.

"They took some stuff, no value to them at all, stuff from my dad that I'll never get back," said the homeowner, who didn't want his name or face shown.

A neighbor's surveillance video shows the thieves were in his house for 28 minutes. The suspect vehicle also caught on surveillance video is described as a white Ford Econoline van with a brown or yellow stripe across the rear doors. Police say there is also plastic or items covering the driver side rear window.

"The biggest thing I guess and the most important is that they left a knife behind, it was a 6-inch folding knife that they left on my son's bureau," he said.

Police in Raynham say the same van was spotted in the driveway of a home on South Main Street that was robbed on Halloween afternoon.

Taunton and Falmouth Police are also looking into that van, which they believe was involved in several break-ins across those towns.

Anyone with information should contact police.
