Police searching for man who allegedly broke into home, stabbed ex's new boyfriend

LOWELL, Mass. — Lowell Police are searching for a 28-year-old man who allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and stabbed her boyfriend several times.

Police were called to Manchester Street just before 5 a.m. Friday and found a 25-year-old man suffering from several stab wounds.

The victim and his girlfriend were asleep when they heard a noise and saw 28-year-old Johnny He appear. He, the girl's ex-boyfriend, then stabbed the man several times and fled. Police say He got into the house by pushing out an air conditioning unit.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This is the second home invasion Lowell Police are investigating Friday. Just before 3:45 a.m., two masked men broke into a home and assaulted two elderly residents inside before fleeing. Police have not said if there is a suspected connection between these two incidents.
