Police responded to a serious crash with injuries that shut down part of Route 9 in Natick, according to Natick Police.

The department tweeted about the crash Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m., saying that the westbound side of Route 9 was closed due to the crash, with injuries and power line involvement.

Wellesley Police posted about the crash, saying that the highway was closed at Route 27 due to the crash near Speen Street, and said all westbound traffic was being diverted onto Route 27.

Drivers were told to expect heavy delays in the area at the time, and State Police said all westbound lanes were reopened at 7:45 p.m.
The breakdown lane remained closed for utility pole repair, and police said collision reconstruction had "a long way to go."
At last update, the victim was alive and conscious at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
