SHREWSBURY, Mass. — A Shrewsbury police officer was struck by a vehicle while working a traffic detail Wednesday morning, police said.
The officer was working the detail at the intersection of Hartford Turnpike and Lake Street around 9:38 a.m. when they were hit.
Additional police officers from Shrewsbury, as well as the Shrewsbury Fire Department and Worcester EMS responded to the scene.
The unidentified officer was injured and was taken to a local hospital.
Their condition is unknown.
The incident is under investigation.
