MADLEN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Wednesday marks the anniversary of the murder of a Malden skate shop owner, and police are offering a $60,000 reward for the suspects.
Shawn Clark, who was the owner of Patriot Skateboards and a US Marine, was found at his Main Street store before 1 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2013 suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Melrose-Wakefield hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
"Shawn was a big kid. He was an older guy, obviously, 39 when he was murdered and yet he was a kid at heart," Clark's uncle Brian Clark said.
Police believe that two suspects were involved in the fatal shooting of the 39-year-old shop owner. One suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing a black hooded jacket the night of the murder. Both were wearing their hoods inside the store, officials say.
Police are now offering a $60,000 reward for the suspects.
"We have been working diligently since that day to identify those two individuals who were actually captured on the videotape," Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said.
