Teen who went to go 'live in the wilderness' returns home

A Medford teenager who was reported missing earlier this week has been found safe.

The parents of Lola Jean Clemente, 17, reported her missing on Wednesday, and police said they had valid information that she recently purchased camping equipment.

In addition, police said, she allegedly told friends that she was going to live in the wilderness and had reason to believe she was in the Stow area, but there was the possibility that she would have headed north to New Hampshire or Maine.

On Friday night, officials said she returned home safely. Police have not said where she was while she was missing.

No other information was released.
