FRANKLIN, Mass. — A suspected drug lab sparked an investigation at a home in Franklin.
State police say it started Wednesday morning when paramedics were called to the home on Stewart Street for a medical emergency.
The home belongs to an older couple, whose adult son lives with them.
"I'm just very surprised, we've known them for many years and they're a great couple and really good people, so I don't know what’s going on or why it’s going on. But I hope everything’s fine for them, I hope they’re okay,” a neighbor said.
Those paramedics spotted some chemicals that raised concerns.
Authorities were at the home from 8 a.m. until well after dark, but haven't confirmed if they did in fact find a drug lab.
“I hope that it never happens around here again, I'm really not sure I'm just kind of in shock. This is shocking for me, my heart is pounding just thinking its two doors over,” a neighbor said.
