CANTON, Mass. — Canton Police are investigating a stabbing that happened incident a hotel Monday night.
Canton Police say they were called to the Homewood Suites on Royall Street at 9 p.m. Monday.
Responding officers found a substantial amount of blood in a stairwell and elevator, but both the suspect and victim had fled the scene.
Police eventually found a woman who had admitted herself to Boston Medical Center with a serious stab would to the chest. She would not cooperate with detectives.
Police are reviewing surveillance video and Mass. State Police are helping process the blood evidence.
Canton Police say they do not believe this was a random attack.
