GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Transit police are investigating after a person was hit by a train in Gloucester and killed.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. near LaPage Lane.
The person who died is a man of unknown age.
Commuter Rail trains on the Rockport line are expected to be delayed while police conduct their investigation.
Update: Rockport Train 121 (6:25p outbound) remains stopped between West Gloucester & Gloucester due to police activity on the right of way.Updates to follow.
