Pepperidge Farm announces voluntary recall on certain Goldfish crackers

TORONTO — A voluntary recall was announced for a certain variety of Goldfish crackers due to the potential presence of salmonella.

Pepperidge Farms announced they were issuing a voluntary recall for the product in Canada after being notified that whey powder in a seasoning was being recalled by the whey powder manufacturer.

The recall issued applies to the "Xtreme Cheddar" variety of the crackers, impacting 180-gram bags with best before dates for January 20, January 24, January 31, February 2, February 11 and February 18 in 2019.

It also applies to 69-gram bags with best before dates for January 25 and January 26 in 2019.

No illnesses have been reported, and no other Pepperidge Farm products in Canada were subject to the recall.
