A dog missing for three months is back home with his family in Fitchburg, according to the group Missing Dogs Massachusetts.
Rocky the Chihuahua was spotted on Route 31 near Kendall Road in Ashby this week, where he was picked up and taken to Townsend Veterinary Hospital.
Someone on Facebook recognized Rocky by his floppy right ear and contacted his owner through Ashby Animal Control.
The family thanked those who helped coordinate the return and praised members of the Missing Dogs Massachusetts Facebook groups for their help in locating him.
