BOSTON — Uber and Nike are teaming up to celebrate the Boston Marathon this Saturday.
Whether you are a 26.2 kind of runner or a 2 mile type, anyone is welcome to take a run with a Nike+ Run Club Pacer.
Uber "runners" can request their training session anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in a select area of Boston, which includes downtown, Southie, and Northeastern and Boston University.
The pacer will come out similar to an actual Uber car and meet the runner. Together, there will be stretching and then a 2 to 3 mile jog. Uber "runners" set the expectations and the pacer will set the pace.
Afterward, the Uber runner will get a free pair of Nike Free RN shoes and a free Uber ride to claim the shoes at Nike Boston on Newbury Street.
Up to two runners per request; just enter the promo code RUNBOSTON in the Uber app to request the training session anytime from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
