NH state trooper issues 19 tickets in four hours; 17 for violating Jessica's Law

A New Hampshire State Police trooper had a busy afternoon Wednesday after snow hit New England, stopping 21 vehicles in a span of four hours and handing out 19 traffic tickets.

New Hampshire State Police posted about the trooper's snow-filled shift, saying 17 of the drivers violated Jessica's Law.

The law requires travelers to clear off their cars of any snow and ice before their commute, hoping to prevent any ice from damaging cars behind the driver or causing any harm to any others on the road.

All of the drivers were forced to clear their cars off before they could continue on, and the trooper also arrested two drivers during the afternoon.
