At least three employees were in the Concord building when the package was found.
“This afternoon, we alerted authorities immediately upon finding a suspicious package at the NHDP Headquarters," the New Hampshire Democratic Party said in a statement. "Several staff members were evacuated and one was treated merely as a precaution. We are cooperating fully with the authorities and are grateful for all they are doing to ensure our safety.”
The party's spokeswoman said Tuesday that all staff are doing fine, but the building remains closed. Police said they expect to release more information later Tuesday.
